back to the future

straight from the heart
how come we remember only a few people from the past? what makes one stay in our memory longer than the rest. the other day a woman walked in and introduced herself as an ex-student from a 12 year old batch. i couldn't place her- face to a name. but when she said the names of her batchmates- bijoy venugopal in particular- i remembered her class. in each class there are a few who stand out. one need not be brilliant- the naughtiest are equally remembered. but isn't there a way of remembering all those who sat in rm. 714, 712, 109, 102 or 206...

hello sir...
it sure means a lot when we have teachers like u. for whom students are people and not jus roll nos. tried to reach u on sep5th, but guess ur no. has changed sir...
belated teachers day.. u will never be forgotten by any of ur students for sure sir, for u r humility personified. wat u teach outside the syllabus(of being a good person) will always have an impact on us..

Hello Sir!
Been a while. Great to read your stuff, and good to see that you're much the same! We should catch up sometime.

Best,
Bruce

Very encouraged by your comment on my blog... you remember me at least! well out of all the teachers (and there were only few of them), we only remember ones like you. awwwww...

batchmates don't keep in touch always.. but thanks to orkut.. we have some communities that are keeping jp communication alive.

Hello, sir!
Saw my name dropped in your post, and it came up during a random google search. Hope you've been well...
