Gyaan Again

to continue from where i left (inspite of some criticism). cant seem to understand why people dont take criticism in the right spirit. why one gets defensive and sometimes fights back, even when one is at fault. to advice, to scold and to criticise is normal- we all have to take it, whether we like it or not. public space is open for such encounters and one should get used to it. i see a few going into their shell- sometimes for a day or two in some rare cases for years. children today are tough- they go through a lot in a short period of time. yet one does not see the same reflected in handling criticism/scolding. one can only hope that reason will prevail or the situation that gives rise to such encounters is eliminated.

its how people percieve their environment. i guess a lot of people take things personally, since they view the world in a very subjective perspective. So the point of detaching themselves from their argument, and being objective about it does not take place.

Ahem! Point noted sir!
But then can't actually blame people for having expectations, it's human after all to expect, and people will always do that!

we all want to be blameless
even after a fault...
No one like being wrong...
worse still no one can believe that they were wrong...

i agree with you .people are like porcupines-very prickly when criticised.i guess its human nature.we hate it more when we know its true.we resent it more when the person is dear to us.chilren that way are more resilient.they hate to be reprimanded but forget everything in a trice - the peron issueing the reprimand and the hateful words as well.its we adults who carry the baggage around.we have a lot of learning to do from kids.they are sure to teach us a valuable lesson in 'forget and forgive'-the best way for festering wounds to heal and magically disappear.'moi'will be there-an eager student if they are ready to take me on.i live in hope.cheers!

Its plain and simple. Ego gets in the way... Most people succumb to that. A few others are plain stupid, but we have to master the art of co existence. More so, these days.
