its all in the perception

straight from the heart
the more i read and listen about our beloved prime minister, the more i conclude that we have a wimp in the seat. is it intentional- if he does something in his term then he becomes indispensible and where will that get sonia, rahul, priyanka or what is priyanka's kid's name. somehow he is not asserting himself, he is reluctant to take bold decision; be himself- efficient administrator. somehow the gaddi turns well-meaning, otherwise efficient men and women into nincompoops.
i am ashamed to accept someone like manmohan singh as our prime minister- is this the best we can do? whether it is the pakistan issue, the reservation issue, the coordination with the left, the nuclear issue... each time we have a perception of someone beaten into submission. is it the price one pays to hold on to the post. is the post worth loosing your self-respect. his earlier role as the popular finance minister and as an efficient bureaucrat is slowing fading in the face of his sloppy work as the head of the government. the government is working inspite of him; in fact the country is chugging along despite him. we either want a strong, assertive and decisive pm or manmohan singh should make way for a better person. I and India deserve an answer and a decision this time around.

dont we all know why is it so?

the 10 Janpath factor,
and more over manmohan singh is an economist who is still not well versed in playing political games....he is not assertive at all...even though he does, he will be snubbed down by the congress big-wigs and has to give in...

@BTS: i don agree. PM is as smart as they come.
Sir i think we don't have a right to ask anything because we didnt do zilch to either keep him in or out of power.
incidentally, did you vote?

hi shashank, i did vote. in fact i have voted from the time i became eligible. after the 1984 anti-sikh riots, that touched even Bombay, i have vowed never to vote for the congress. i had a classmate, Harjeet Singh, who described the way his relations were massacered in the riots in Delhi. it must be the reason for my anti-Congress stance.
and i still believe that manmohan singh does not suit the role of a prime minister as he lacks both determination and support from within. naresh rao

omygod! i was gonna write a post on this myself...........! coincidence coincidence..... i completely agree that mr.PM needs to put down his foot n lend india a voice...... agreed v're developin yet unlike america n d rest but dat jus doesn mean dat v pretend to b blind n deaf to the attrocities all around us....... but wat i don agree with is- ur being anti congress........ leaders of any given political party change with time [esp with our dear ministers falling prey to scandals n disagreements] n so judgin a party bcos of somethin dat happened in d past....... of course, d skeletons are bound to wake up someimes but v need to keep our minds open in d future...
